Annual Progress Reporting
The Australian Government and state and territory governments have committed to report on their implementation of the Royal Commission’s recommendations. These were made in its Final Report, and its earlier Working With Children Checks, Redress and Civil Litigation and Criminal Justice Reports. There will be five consecutive annual progress reports commencing in December 2018.
The National Office for Child Safety (National Office) has also been working with relevant major institutions and peak bodies of institutions that engage in child-related work to provide similar progress reports.
All state and territory governments have committed to provide separate annual reports on their progress in implementing the recommendations of the Royal Commission.
Non-government institutions or peak bodies of institutions that engage in child-related work may also provide annual progress reports as recommended by the Royal Commission.
